There are two universal covenants spanning across the generations till now. God called Abraham out of Ur to the promised land. While in Canaan God gave Abraham the following two promises:
1) That Abraham and his descendants will inherit the land of Canaan.
2) That Abraham and his SEED (Jesus Christ - Galatians 3:16-17)  will be the Father of all nations by faith. These two promises matured at Sinai after Israel had dwelt in Sinai for 430 years and at the cross when Jesus was crucified.

THE FIRST (OLD) COVENANT

This first covenant is also known as Sinai/Mosaic Covenant. After exactly 430 years Israel was carried by the hand of God from Egypt to Mount Sinai. God issued his covenant commandments i,e a) the Ten Commandments inscribed on two tablet of stones b) God dictated to Moses who wrote 603 commands of God on scroll and with ink. the two sets of laws both formed the covenant (agreement) issued by God to Israel (Exodus Chap.19 to Chap.24).
Moses says in Deuteronomy Chap. 5 that the Mt. Sinai Covenant was   specific to the Children of Israel  Israel was still one nation it had not split to two nations that of Israel and Judah. Moses says the Sinai Covenant did not apply to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the people of Israel in Egypt who perished  before reaching Mt. Sinai where the covenant was issued. Its needless to say that if it did not apply to Israel, it did not apply at all to the Gentiles or all the people of other nations of the world.
After Moses read to the people gathered all the 613 laws (both the Ten Commandments & 603 hand writings of Moses written on scroll), the people covenanted that they shall keep every word of the covenant as read by Moses. Moses then sealed the covenant with the blood of animals. Moses warned them that if they broke God's covenant, the Wrath of God will be on their heads.

Prophet Jeremiah announced  that in the coming days, God shall bring to an end to the Sinai Covenant because Israel had broken it and to be replace by a New and different Covenant not same as the one issued in Sinai. (Jeremiah 31:31-34) Zechariah gave an hint to the timelines of ending the Sinai Covenant (Zechariah 31:31-34). The cross reference leads us to Mathew 26:15, 27:1.... The scripture points to the cross as an End to the Old Covenant. John 1:17, states that the Commandments came through Moses and that Grace and Truth (Gospel of Jesus -John 17:17), came through Jesus. Judas threw the 30 silvers into the Temple and was used to buy a piece of plot to bury him. Thus Sinai Covenant ended at the cross.

THE SECOND (NEW) COVENANT

Prophet Jeremiah in Chap, 31:31-34, foretold the Issuance by God of a New Covenant which was going to be different from the one issued at Mount Sinai which the Israel broke. The new one would be written in tablets of stones but shall be written in the hearts of believers. The book of Luke Chap. 22 verse 20 paints a picture of Jesus launching the start of the New Covenant ( Jesus took the cup of wine and said, this cup is my blood in the New Covenant).

Hebrews 8:6-13, replays Jeremiahs prophecy stating that if the first Covenant issued at Sinai had no flaws then there would have been no need to issue another. It states that the New Covenant was excellent and Jesus the Son mediated over it while Moses as a Servant mediated over the Sinai Covenant.

Apostle Paul stated that he was a servant under the New Covenant and not the old covenant (2 Corinthians Chapter 3.) The Old Covenant with the 613 Commandments is now obsolete (Hebrews 8:13). As Israel crosses over from the Commandments to the New Covenant, Gentiles are brought near through the shed blood in the cross.

Both believing Israel and believing Gentiles are brought near by the blood of Jesus. (Ephesians 2:12, Galatians Chapter 3).

The New Covenant is glorious and Jesus is the mediator as the Son.

The Power of Healing.

Lots of Televangelist carry out miracle healing. This attracts huge crowds of people who come to view live, the miracles. unfortunately most of these miracle performers are not serving God. Their Master and god is Satan the enemy of God. Their source of powers originates from the Devil and demons. The people takes large sums of money to the false teachers who share out the generated money with the agents of the devil or collected from their pulpits by the demons. When you witness large sums of money being placed at the altar, that money are shared out between the miracle performer with Satan.

There are many former televangelist who previously served under the power of Satan who genuinely repented and turned away from serving Satan and returned to the body of believers to give a warning and testimonies to the church to be alert and stay away from those houses of Babel.

Read the Bible everyday to grow in grace and ask God to help you and for the Holy Spirit to help you understand in depth understanding. God bless you and give you discernment and you seek for the truth.

Jesus is Coming Back!

As we approach 2000 years since Jesus ascended to heaven, it is apparent that we are in the last days which Jesus told his disciples would come before the end of His Come. Jesus had said Earth quakes, floods, wars, rumours of wars, Nations attacking other nations, starvation, flood of false prophets, advancement of knowledge, diminished love among relatives and even in Churches, etc. Jesus further told his disciples that even with these occurrences, the end would still not come. THE END OF THE WORLD WOULD BE WITNESSED when the gospel will have been preached and every ear will have heard.
MATHEW CHAPTER 24.

Help this goal to be achieved by receiving Jesus now, if you haven't as yet. If the 8 billion or so people said Yes to Jesus, Jesus will appear in the sky to take us home! Share this message to your friends and relatives and lets speed up the coming of our Lord and Saviour.

AT THE SHORES OF CAPERNAUM

Matthew 4:1-25

Prophet Isaiah in Chapter 9:1,2 had prophesied that Jesus would come and preach to the Gentiles beyond River Jordan at the Sea shores of Capernaum in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali the sons of Jacob. Jesus started his Ministry work after being tempted by the devil. He preached, healed and did miracles in the region. And his good works spread like a wild fire among the nations and people of Israel.

1. Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' "
Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,
and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: 'He shall give His angels charge over you,' and, 'In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.' "
Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.' "
Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me."
10 Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.' "
11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
12 Now when Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, He departed to Galilee.
13 And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali,
14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
15 "The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles:
16 The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned."
17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
19 Then He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."
20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.
21 Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them,
22 and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.
25 Great multitudes followed Him--from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

TWO ROADS

God has given mankind two ways. One way leads those who follow to eternity and the other leads people to hell. The thin road has few people and the wide road has millions of people. The wide road has man Pastors who were never serving God....People who were in churches holding high positions but serving demons. Most miracles witnessed in churches are not from God, they are from the Devil.

Seek the Lord therefore and receive eternal life. Romans 10:9-13, 2 Corinthians 5:17, John 3:16.

MISSING IN THE GARDEN OF THE LORD!

God visited Adam in the Garden of Eden as He usually did, but Adam and Eve were no where to be seen.  God called out to him saying, - Adam, Adam where are you?   Adam responded with a shaken voice saying, "I heard your voice and I was afraid; because I was naked " God asked him, " who told you you were naked?" Have you eaten fruits of the tree I had commanded you not to eat?" Adam responded saying,"The woman whom you gave to be with me, gave me the fruits and I ate."
God said to Adam, because you have disobeyed what I commanded you to do, "cursed is the ground. In toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. (Genesis 3:9-12,17)

The curse of disobedience to God is very severe. Adam and his family slided into spiritual oblivion. everything went wrong in the beautiful holy Garden of Eden. God no longer came to be with them in the evenings. Adam and his wife were send away from their home to live in the forest and to live on wild fruits.

Thorns and thistles sprouted. An innocent lamb shed blood for Adam and family temporal forgiveness of sins. The skin/hide of the lamb was used to make a covering for the fallen family. The covering in them would register in their mind the fact that sin kills. Shortly after, the eldest son killed his sibling Abel. Death posed a serious land mark on earth till the coming of Jesus where Jesus reversed the trend.

Believers have the slain Jesus clothing of righteousness replacing the Adam's skin of the slain lamb. So now believers are righteous in Jesus and have access to the throne of grace. Today if you read this wonderful message make a bold step and stand out as you seek to unite bodily with Jesus our Lord and Saviour of the World. God bless you.
