Fasting means taking a quite moment to seek the Load. we therefore move away from our daily lives to concentrate on heavenly matters. Fasting is done in order to have concentration in Spiritual matters and to in order to seek God to provide our special needs.
The kind of fasting our God wants is to remove chains of the oppressed persons in our midst and the yoke of injustices, and to let the captives free. During fasting we are required to share food with the hungry and to open homes to the homeless poor. we ought to clothe those without clothes and to assists your own relatives. 
When we comply to the above, God's favour will shine on us like the morning sun, and our wounds will be quickly healed. God will always be with us to save us; His presence will protect us on every side. When we pray He will answer us. When we call to Him he will respond.If we put an end to oppression, to every gesture of contempt, and to every evil word; if we give food to the hungry and satisfy those who are in need, then the darkness around us will turn to the brightness of noon, and God will always guide and satisfy us with good things. He will keep us strong and well. We will be like a garden that has plenty of water, like a spring of water that never runs dry.
Whenever we fast ensure we remain faithful and trust in God who will always honour His pledge to Bless us(Isaiah 58:6-11).
