GOD's AMAZING LOVE

After Jesus was baptized, the Father said for all to hear "You are My Son, whom I love; With You I am well pleased. These words were also spoken by the Father in Matthew 17:5. After Jesus' spectacular transfiguration, What a glorious and beautiful sight that must have been for the three disciples, when the love and glory of the Father filled Jesus and, " His face shone like the sun and His clothes became as white as the light.
There is and always has been, an awesome love relationship between the Father and the Son throughout eternity. The love between the Father and the Son, we know is timeless and without limit. God gave His perfect love to His Son, who in turn also loves the Father completely and unceasingly. Throughout Scripture the love of God and the Love of Christ is shown. This was so evident in the garden of Gethsemane, when Jesus cried out to the Father " May this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." This cry shows us that our Savior indeed has feelings as we do, and we are assured that our Savior does feel our pain, loneliness and despair. He feels it because He chose to, and what other words can you use here than "Unconditional Love!" This cry is also the pain Jesus knew was coming, not in dying for us, but in the necessary, though temporary, separation from God. Oh, How could He not despair at being separated from the awesome love of His Father, the darkness and the separation He would endure for you and me. How can we doubt that this is anything but amazing Love?
The Scripture below John 15:9...... Beautifully says without a doubt and with Biblical promise, that you can experience this same amazing kind of love that exists between the Father and the Son.
"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love!"
And let us not forget John 17: 20-23 "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Add these two verse together and you are more than assured that God loves you so much. You cannot deny His love for His Son, and you cannot deny these promises and truths here.....I do not see Jesus mincing words........ Like well gee Father would you.....or perhaps could you. No, the little but important words...HAS loved.....so HAVE I loved... REMAIN in my love.....who WILL believe.....ALL of them.....JUST AS .....I HAVE GIVEN....... HAVE LOVED THEM.....HAVE LOVED ME. Do You See It? All positive, all so given that He is using past tense, as it has already happened and without any doubt. .What comfort and what joy we can have in this assurance.
The Love of God the Father for His Son and the love of the Son for the Father are joyously given to every Christian. God invites you to Him through faith in His Son, and to also share in the love He has for the Son!! These go hand in hand!! You do not receive salvation alone when you trust in Christ as your Savior. You also Receive His awesome and ever-flowing love. His love has been placed into your heart. Jesus cares for you with the same kind of love that the Father has always shared with Him.
Add to this that, God's love is steadfast and unfailing. You cannot take His love for you away, by your behavior or indifference. Do you ever feel separated from His love? Do you wonder where God is, in your life? It is unfortunate but so true that it is we His children, who so often move away in our walk with Him and in our devotions, not God. GOD DOES NOT MOVE. Remember His love is steadfast, ever flowing and unchanging. Please if you feel this way, call out to Him from your heart through prayer. Restore that childlike faith, and the love in your heart that you first had when you came to Him. His love is steadfast as is He. His love is perfect, faithful and sufficient. God's love will uphold you and nourish you. Be assured that He has set His love upon you and will never turn away. For throughout the Old testament God loved His people. No matter what. He would always bring them back to Him.
His love does not die, does not let go. It Flows from the heart of God and it is a love that will never let you down, never disappoint you, never forsake you, never fail you......Hebrews puts it well, "Never will I leave you. Never will I forsake you. "NEVER!
Can you imaging feeling, abiding in this incredible love that the Father and Son have for each other? Well don't imagine it. Feel it, for you do. It is Freely given, joyously given, always flowing, ever abundant and most of all, YOURS! Most of all just by being you.....understand that......just by being you! You can walk in faith and confidence that He is with you loving you always, as only He can and with the same incredible love that He has for the Son...Try to ponder His awesome love.....Through the majesty, the beauty of His precious Son.....His awesome gift of love to us.....Our Savior, Jesus Christ.
