ANGER

So Cain was very angry and his face was down cast. The the LOrd said to him why are you down cast? If you do what is right will you not be accepted? owever if you do not sin is crouching at your door, but you must fight to overcome it (Genesis 4:5,6).

Anger is defined as annoyance,Irritation,furry,rage,antagonism,resentment. The antonym of this word is calm. Cain saw his brother gives an offering to God and he also rushed and gave God his grains. Cain gave his offerings to God just to perform a duty and after seeing what his brother was doing. He did not go to God in humilty. Cain gave the grains offerings with a selfish heart. God was displeased with what Cain did and He rejected the offerings while approving Abels. God spoke to Cain and inquired from him why he was annoyed. God assured Cain that if he did good as his brother he would accept his offering. Cain was sturbon and he ignored God's voice. He was possed by the demons and he hatched a plot to murder his brother. He finally murdered his brother and secretly burried him in the field. Hatred for his brther led Cain to murder his brother.

Jesus came to the earth some two thousand years ago and told his followers that he did not come to get rid of the law but so that the law could be strengthens. in I John 3:15, it states that whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and as such no murderer shall inherit, the kingdom of heaven. It is therefore evil to hate people. hatred starts with anger which grows with time and end up leading to murder. Abel a humble sherpherd who mind his own business,liked his brother Cain eventhough he hated him. Satan dominated in Cain's heart and he eventually destroyed his blood brother for no apparent reason.

There was a young man who used to be annoyed. His temper was soo bad that he could cause distruction in the home. One day his father talked to him saying it was not good to be annoyed and God would not bless him. He encouraged him to try and remain calm all his time. He told him that for every moment he got annoyed he was to drive a nail into a fence. In a day he could drive up to thirty (30) nails. He soon found out that it was much easier to remain calm than to be annoyed. The number of nails drieven into the fence reduce day by day until he never got annoyed. After a couple of days, he told his father how he had succeeded and his father told him that for every day he went without getting annoyed, he should extract a nail. Weeks rolled into months and finally, he removed all the nails. He told his father the exciting knews and his father took him by his hand and led him to the fence. He told him well done my son for removing all the nails. The looked at the fence and he shock his head and said to his son. Look son! there many holes in the fence - He said when you drive a knife into someones body - no matter how many times you say to him you are sorry - the man will have a permanent scar. similary, when we say bad things to those around us - No matter how many times we say we are sory, the damage is already done.

Anger is a bad habit which may deny us the Kingdom of heaven. We must endeavour to remain calm under all the circumstances. God who cares for you will give you power to overcome anger and all other bad habits.

Thank you God for giving me a chance to read this powerful message. Thank you for sending Jesus to earth to die for me about 2000 years ago. Thank you for giving me a chance amongst billions in planet earth to get to know about you. I pledge to serve you for the rest of my life. Give me a chance to live and I will demonstrate my willingness to serve you eternally in Jesus mighty name! Amen.
