God formed the world in six days and rested on the Seventh-day. He blessed the seventh day and set apart or aside. Nowhere in the Bible declares that Adam, Enock, Noah, Abraham, Isaac or Jacob (Renambed Israel), rested on Sabbath days on Saturday. The Bible decares that God set it aside. Of course what is set aside cannot be used until the intended period or time has been reached. Then, the big question arise, with who and where, did God rested? We also do not that when Israel were in Egypt for 430 years, they never kept the Sabbath. The next period we here of the Sabbath is at Elim, when God informed instructed the Israelites to remember to keep the Sabbath. The other important issue to note that one cannot be told to remember what he or she is doing regularly. for example no body in his right mind would tell you to remember to go to work every morning. It is common practice. God was activating the observance of the Sabbath at elim because since he rested at creation no one had kept the Sabbath. Nothing was wrong for not keeping it since creation, but at Elim this was the right time the Sabbath was to be given to the intended people the Israelites. a few days later, God gave moses laws at mount Sinai, for them to keep.
